George was formally warned for using “unacceptable language” in the villa and was sent packing, and this came at the same time the footballer from Winchester received the news from home.
Ope continued: “Since then, that’s all we, that’s all we got told. I didn’t hear a single thing. I didn’t hear a single thing in the villa. I literally have no idea.

told at the time that George had left for “private reasons” but there is no suggestion the broadcaster worked to cover up his behaviour.
Fans had already called out some of George’s on-air behaviour as problematic, including branding Barbados-born Mica’s fashion “exotic” and him ousting British-Indian Samraj in a game.
George sat down for a post-villa interview with The Sun where he was challenged on his alleged microaggressions towards non-white Islanders.

“I probably have said things that in reflection don’t look or sound great, but that’s just how I am in the moment.
“And I know it will shoot me in the foot. I shoot myself in the foot a few times, but authenticity is – I think – what people are drawn to.”
