THE date for the finale of this year’s Love Island is just around the corner, with 20 contestant left in the villa to fight for the big prize.

Season 13 of the British reality show is coming to its end as The Sun exclusively revealed the date of this year’s last episode.

launched the highly anticipated new series on Monday, June 1, 2026.

It started with 12 original Islanders, which was later followed by 12 additional bombshells who arrived during the shocking twist.

Throughout the weeks, 14 more bombshells entered the villa individually or in small groups to disrupt the couples.

left the villa on Day 5, initially citing a family problem as the reason for his exit. But he had been removed due to the use of offensive language

Casa Amor islander was removed on Day 24, due to his alleged involvement in a stabbing.

While some loyal viewers might have already , the true results won’t be known until the big finale.

When does Love Island 2026 finish?

The summer edition almost always runs for roughly eight weeks, with the live final traditionally held on a Monday night.

Last year’s instalment (series 12) followed that pattern, launching on June 9 and bowing out on Monday, August 4.

While the villa action wrapped up in early August last year, our villa insiders told us that the winners will instead be crowned on Monday, July 27 this year.

A source told The Sun: “There is around two and a half weeks of villa action left for this series, with the finale airing on the 27th.

“ won’t confirm the exact date until the middle of next week but it’s locked in for then.

“At this stage, it’s still unpredictable which couple will be named the winners.”

How many episodes of Love Island are there per week?

A brand-new episode airs every night from Sunday to Friday on ITV2 and , each running for about an hour.

So that’s six fresh helpings of , from hook-ups to re-couplings to fire-pit fallouts.

Episodes drop at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with catch-up available on the streaming platform shortly after broadcast.

Saturday doesn’t leave fans short either, but rather than a standard episode, ITV2 dishes up Unseen Bits.

This broadcast includes a look back at footage that didn’t make the main show, narrated as ever by .

Companion show then serves passionate fans on Sunday nights at 10pm.

So for dedicated viewers, that’s Love Island in one form or another each and every night of the week.

How much is the prize money for Love Island winners?

It’s no secret now that the winning couple will bag a £50,000 prize in cash.

Up until 2022, the winning couple would each choose an envelope, and the person with the prize money in it, could choose to steal it for themselves or share it with their partner.

But producers decided to change this for season 8, and it was revealed the cash would automatically be split between the two.

On top of this cash prize, every year the winners go on to have lucrative careers.

The Sun also that all Islanders receive a weekly compensation from ITV for giving up their time for the show.

This fee is meant to cover their bills, rent and other general costs they usually have back home.
