LOOSE Women has been taken off air in a schedule shakeup.

On Wednesday, confirmed the show’s upcoming schedule when she announced that would not be airing for the rest of this week.

The show normally airs weekdays at 12:30 to 1:30, with it revealed yesterday that it will be off air this Thursday and Friday.

The shakeup is due to ‘s coverage of the Newmarket racing event.

Ruth shared the news at the end of Wednesday’s episode.

She said to viewers: “That is it from us for today and for this week, actually, as we’re off for ITV’s coverage of the races.

“We’ll be back next Monday as usual at 12:30.”

Although Loose Women won’t be airing, viewers will get an extra half an hour of before the races.

This is because the racing kicks off at 1pm, which would be halfway into Loose Women.

The hit magazine show often gets yanked off air for the races.

Earlier this year, Loose Women was pulled off air for a week when the aired.

And last month, coverage took over.

Although Loose Women gets pulled off air occasionally due to sporting events, it also only airs seasonally now.

Loose Women and Lorraine amid cuts across ITV.

Both shows are only on TV 30 weeks of the year, losing more than 100 of their episodes.

Other changes include episodes having a run time of just 30 minutes and no live studio audience.

In May 2025, Kevin Lygo, managing director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division, said: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust.

“As well as generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.”

He added: “Daytime has been a core element of ITV’s schedule for over 40 years and these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award-winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade.
