LEANDRO TROSSARD (£3m) scored an invaluable winner for Arsenal at West Ham on Sunday.

The Gunners required a much-debated VAR review to rule out Callum Wilson’s (£1.4m) stoppage-time strike and claim all three points to keep Manchester City at bay with the Premier League trophy almost within their grasp.

David Raya (£4.4m) was Gary Neville’s Player of the Match at the London Stadium but it was match-winner Trossard who earned the most Dream Team points.

The Belgian winger banked ten points to continue his timely upturn in form.

He has now earned 33 points across his last three outings, a return only bettered by compatriot Jeremy Doku (£5.1m) among all assets.

In Gameweek 34, Trossard notched 14 points against Fulham via an assist and maximum bonus points, a product of six successful dribbles and 92% pass completion.

The 31-year-old then registered an assist for Bukayo Saka’s (£6m) all-important goal against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final second leg, resulting in another nine points.

Trossard played a decisive hand in all three victories and should now be viewed as Arsenal’s unlikely clutch player.

It’s not that he hasn’t scored crucial goals in the past but few fans would have anticipated a starring role from him at the back end of this engrossing campaign.

Trossard went 25 games without a goal in all competitions prior to his strike against the Hammers.

His overall return of eight goals and 11 assists is perfectly respectable but even his most ardent supporters would admit he’s blown hot and cold this season.

In fact, the left flank has been one of Arsenal’s few problem areas this term with Gabriel Martinelli (£3.3m) also enduring lean patches between brief spells of improved form.

Mikel Arteta will be thankful that Trossard has refocused as a response to increased pressure and Dream Team bosses should take note.

The ex-Brighton man currently features in just 2.7% of teams, an ownership that doesn’t align with his status as the game’s second-most in-form player.

Unlike Manchester City, Chelsea and Aston Villa, Arsenal will not fulfil two fixtures in Gameweek 36 but their lone commitment is hugely favourable.

Relegated Burnley are due to visit the Emirates next Monday and it’s difficult to envisage anything other than a comfortable home win.

Looking further ahead, gaffers will have to load up on Arsenal assets for Gameweek 38 as it contains just one fixture, the Champions League final.

Gabriel (£4.6m), Saka and Declan Rice (£4.9m) are the club’s top three performers in Dream Team at present with Trossard down in ninth but if the latter still has form on his side come the last deadline of the season then he should be considered among the strongest options to face PSG.
