Former Barcelona striker, Gary Lineker, has reacted to Gerard Piqueâs sudden retirement from football.
Lineker said it was hard for him to imagine a Barcelona without Pique, hailing the Spaniardâs career at Camp Nou.
Pique addressed Barcelonaâs supporters during his emotional farewell speech at Camp Nou on Saturday evening.
The former Manchester United star had on Thursday announced his surprising retirement from his football career.
Pique played his final game for Barcelona on Saturday in their LaLiga 2-0 win over Almeria at Camp Nou.
Reacting, Lineker, in a tweet via his Twitter handle after the match, wrote: âA winning finale for the great @3gerardpique. Hard to imagine a @FCBarcelonateam without him.
âWhat a career. What a player.â
