Former NNPP presidential candidate, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has expressed deep concern over the tragic killing of 16 travelers from Northern Nigeria in Edo State.

In a statement on his official X handle, the former Kano State governor described the incident as a “harrowing display of mob injustice” and called for a full-scale investigation.

The attack, which took place on March 28, 2025, in the Udune Efandion community of Uromi, has reignited discussions on the dangers of jungle justice in Nigeria.

Kwankwaso emphasized that all Nigerians should have the right to travel freely without fear of harassment or intimidation.

“I urge the concerned authorities to launch a full-scale investigation into this sad incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice,” he stated.

While mourning the victims, Kwankwaso extended his condolences to their families, the Kano State Government, and other affected individuals.
