WEST HAM and Everton have jumped into the chase for rising star Jhon Duran.
Both clubs have made contact with the powerful Colombian striker about joining in a deal in January.
Duran, 18, has been an instant hit for Chicago Fire in MLS and is thought to be rated at £10million.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are keen.
And the Reds watched him play for his country last week.
But the teen is being advised to join a ‘smaller’ side to get games at a high level rather than be lost in a squad at one of the Premier League giants.
Duran will be in the spotlight at the Fifa Under-20 World Cup qualifiers in February.
And Chicago insiders revealed last month that associates of Old Trafford chief Erik ten Hag had already been in contact.
Duran’s agent and family members also travelled to England this autumn.
They spoke to interested clubs in the Prem as well as in Spain.

Duran notched eight goals and five assists in his 27 matches during the 2022 campaign.
And it’s understood Chicago could be prepared to sell following their disappointing season.
