Musiala, 23, was reportedly with his younger sister at the time of the 120mph collision in the 75mph zone.

The Munich I Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the details of the motorway crash.

Spokesperson Florian Lindemann said: “During an overtaking manoeuvre, the accused Jamal M., who was driving at excessive speed at the time, overlooked a car driving to his right, resulting in a collision.”

The youngster was reportedly left in shock by the incident, but it is said that he immediately checked on the welfare of the other individuals involved.

The spokesperson revealed the Munich District Court issued a penal order on January 28, 2026 following the investigation.

Lindemann noted it has “since become legally binding, against the accused Jamal M. for negligent endangerment of road traffic and negligent bodily injury in two cases”.

The two cases mentioned indicate the 30-year-old man and 26-year-old woman who were travelling in a VW Golf along the same motorway.

Both passengers sustained minor injuries in the collision.

But the total property damage from the accident is estimated to be even higher, in the region of £173,000.

Lindemann added: “A new driving licence may not be issued to Musiala before the expiry of NINE months from the time the penal order became legally binding.”

It has been a rollercoaster year for the midfielder whose play was stunted due to a serious injury picked up at the last July.

Musiala fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle, meaning that he was ruled out until January.

And while he looks set to travel to the 2026 World Cup with , he was handed another injury scare involving his ankle in March.
