Is Carlos Alcaraz playing at Wimbledon 2026?

Carlitos first felt the pain during the Barcelona Open in mid-April. Since then, it’s been a nightmare for the 23-year-old superstar.

Alcaraz said on social media: “My recovery is going well and I’m feeling much better, but unfortunately I’m still not ready to compete, which why I have to withdraw from the grass-court swing.”

Former Slam finalist Olga Morozova even warned coaches not to let kids copy his extreme technique because of the sheer physical toll.

Missing out on the clay and grass majors means Alcaraz is waving goodbye to a whopping 3,300 ranking points.

When will he be back?

On June 17, Carlitos shared a major recovery update to social media.

The protective wrist guard is officially off, and the superstar is back on the practice courts, and he’s even been spotted practising left-handed shots.

While the grass of SW19 came just too soon for the two-time Wimbledon champion, his eyes will be firmly fixed on a grand return for the North American hard-court season.

Barring any setbacks, Alcaraz is expected to be fully fit and roaring to defend his crown at the US Open this August.

What does his injury mean for the other contenders?

With the Spaniard out of the running, the Wimbledon draw has been blown completely wide open, and one man is licking his lips.
