IRAN’S “totally unacceptable” peace demands have been revealed – after Donald Trump blasted Tehran’s response to the US blueprint.

The regime has also threatened deployed to clear the Strait of Hormuz – vowing an “immediate decisive response”.

After presented its short-term 14-point plan, Tehran replied with a range of demands which Trump has slammed as unrealistic.

The include US reparations, recognition of Tehran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, the end of American sanctions, and the release of Iranian assets, according to state media.

Iran also asked for an end to all fighting “on all fronts, especially Lebanon,” – and rejected an immediate deal to take down its nuclear program.

Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpiles have been a key sticking point in negotiations to end the war.

The mullah chiefs were reportedly willing to temporarily halt uranium enrichment for a short period, but refused to dismantle its nuclear facilities.

They also offered to dilute some of its stockpile and transfer the rest to a third country – on condition that it receives guarantees the uranium will be returned if negotiations fail.

In response to the US president’s fury, Tehran has said its demands are “not excessive” – insisting Washington continues to push for “unreasonable demands”.

Trump had previously said: “I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘Representatives.’ I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.”

Outlining Tehran’s demands, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said: “Our demand is legitimate: demanding an end to the war, lifting ‌the [US] blockade and piracy, and releasing Iranian assets that ‌have been unjustly frozen in banks due to US pressure.

“Safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz and establishing security in the region and Lebanon were other demands of Iran, which are considered a generous and responsible offer for regional security.”

Iranian state media also said: “Iran’s plan stresses the necessity of the US paying war reparations and affirms Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

“Iran has underscored the need for an end to sanctions and the release of the country’s seized assets and properties.”

The US President earlier accused Iran of playing games with the US for almost 50 years, threatening: “They will be laughing no longer!”

It comes after Tehran issued a chilling warning to European ships undertaking mine-clearing efforts in the critical Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi claimed British and French warships would be “potentially accompanying the illegal and internationally unlawful actions” of the US and would get a firm response.

It comes as , where a fragile ceasefire is being pushed to its very limits.

and the US have exchanged blows in the key waterway in recent days – leaving the short-term peace plan agreed last month hanging in the balance.

Trump claimed last week that the war in Iran “will be over quickly” – in the face of tit-for-tat blasts in the strait.

The Americans had presented Iran with a 14-point memorandum which included a demand for the regime to stop enriching uranium, Axios previously reported.

On Sunday, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded Iran’s highly enriched uranium must be “taken out” before any peace deal is signed.

He told CBS: “It’s not over, because there’s still nuclear material – enriched uranium – that has to be taken out of Iran.

“There’s still enrichment sites that have to be dismantled.”

The Israeli leader also said Iran’s regional proxy groups and its ballistic missile production had been left out of the draft plans.

Iran has continued to lock down the Strait of Hormuz for weeks – sparking global shipping chaos as commercial vessels are left unable to pass.

The key trade artery – a passage for one fifth of global exports – has seen an Iranian blockade and a US armada choking Iranian ports.

Peace talks which kicked off last month in Pakistan have largely stalled – with Washington and Tehran now attempting to hash out a deal through mediators.

On Sunday, Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian said: “We will never bow down to the enemy, and if there is talk of dialogue or negotiation, it does not mean surrender or retreat.”

The US president is reportedly expected to ask Xi to push Iran to end the war, senior officials say.
