US govt deports three Nigerians

Published on May 14, 2025 at 04:53 PM

The United States has deported at least three Nigerians over alleged various crimes in the country.

The deportation was said to be in connection with a decision by the US government to deport no fewer than 3,000 Nigerians, who had been involved in various crimes in the country.

DAILY POST reports that the deportees arrived on Wednesday via a Delta Airlines flight, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, just before 9 am.

They were reportedly received by officials of different Nigerian government agencies who would decide the next line of action.

The US government, under the Donald Trump administration, intends to carry out more deportations, in line with its policy of streamlining migration in the country.
