Former player and manager in the Premier League, Graeme Souness, has cautioned Barcelona youngster, Lamine Yamal, not to follow the behavioural footsteps of Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham.
The football pundit also lauded the 17-year-old for his decision-making and impact on the pitch.
Speaking with Daily Mail, Souness was critical of England international, Jude Bellingham and used the opportunity to advise Yamal.
He said, “He, [Jude Bellingham] is the perfect example of what Lamine Yamal must avoid. Without a doubt, we’re seeing the beginnings of a very special talent.
“At just 17 years old, he makes decisions that one would expect from much older players.”;
The 17 year-old Yamal started by playing an integral role as La Roja lifted the 2024 UEFA Euro.
He has also been a delight to watch for Barcelona, helping them to win the 2024-25 Copa del Rey.
Yamal has contributed 15 goals and recorded 24 assists in 50 games across competitions this season.
In Barca’s 3-3 first-leg UEFA Champions League semi-final clash with Inter, he netted one and provided an assists.
However, he was helpless on Tuesday night as Barcelona left San Siro crashing out of the UEFA Champions League after a 4-3 defeat.
