THE 1% Club players were left gobsmacked after a question branded “easy”; managed to wipe a quarter of them out.
A 90% question caught the contestants off guard with a seemingly simple logic puzzle that turned out to be trickier than it looked.


An episode ofsaw 100 contestants try and make it to theand be in with a chance to win a share of the jackpot.
But the first round saw a quarter of the contestants crash out of the running thanks to a relatively simple question.
Hostasked the question: “Which of the following words contain the most vowels?”;
The answers to choose from were: vowel, consonant and letter.
Lee joked:“And if you don’t know what a vowel is here’s a little tip... perhaps spend more time reading and less time on Instagram.”;
He then revealed massive 25 contestants had been knocked out once the time was up, creating gasps from the audience and players.
This meant they couldn’t continue towardsand a share of the jackpot.
He revealed that the answer was: Consonant.
Lee then spoke to one of the knocked out contestants like Amanda and asked: “What did you go for Amanda?”;
Amanda said she went for vowel.
Lee followed up with: “And what was your reasoning?”;
To which Amanda answered: “Because I’m an idiot”; before adding, “I overthought it.”;
In another episode, players were left
Leeasked the question: “There is a five letter word where if you remove the first letter a bit remains.
“If you remove the second letter that bit is still there and if you take away the third letter it continues to be in place.
“What is the word?”;
He then revealed that the answer was the word Habit â which becomes ‘a bit’ then ‘bit’ and finally ‘it’.
