RUTH Langsford has been accused of “rage baiting”; after revealing her very unique twist on the traditional spaghetti bolognaise.

The former host of This Morning explained in a video on her TikTok page that the original came from her mother, but said she had adapted it over the years.

She showed herself adding a spoonful of instant coffee granules to the dish

And insisted that the result was “very good”;

And the result is her “little fabulous “.

She began by showing off her with labels on each drawer, before grabbing some frozen onions and popping them in a large frying pan.

Holding a cup of coffee, said that if she was cooking for an evening meal, she would treat herself to a glass of wine.

But instead she indulged in a skinny latte, as she admitted she has to stick to just one coffee a day because anything else makes her “a bit jittery”;.

And drinking coffee isn’t the only way she uses the drink, as she revealed she also adds a spoonful of the instant granules to her bolognaise too.

“I think gives this a really deep flavour,”; she said.

“It doesn’t taste of coffee.”;

And referencing her and ex son Jack, who was apparently filming the video and was unimpressed by her coffee revelation, Ruth laughed: “Jack, just to let you know, I’ve always put coffee in this spag bol, darling!

“And you don’t like coffee. Ah!”;

Alongside the coffee, Ruth added minced beef, garlic, tomato puree, Oxo cube, dried basil – and a “lot of”; it – and bay leaves.

“So that has been simmering away now, an hour, hour and a half-ish,”; she said.

“Oh, smells good!”;

She had a “little taste”;, as she said it was “very good, if I say so myself”;.

“But don’t forget, my little adding of is the coffee!”; Ruth concluded.

“Everyone’s got their way of doing it, haven’t they?”; Ruth added in the caption.

“This one’s mine... loosely based classic but, over the years, I’ve made it my own (as you do)!

“No strict measurements here... I just go by eye, taste as I go, and trust my instincts.”;

Ruth added she keeps it “simple, hearty and full of flavour”;.

And another of her hacks is to use “frozen, chopped onions”;, as Ruth called it a “game changer”;.

“Makes it so much quicker and no runny eyes!”; she promised.

However, in the comments section, people were left unimpressed by her bolognaise twist.

“Coffee? Are u rage bating?”; one questioned.

“Dark choc, loads of fresh garlic, oregano, black pepper – no oxo cube.

“You’ve made something but its not bolognaise.”;

“Seriously, coffee, you winding us up...?”; another added.

“You just killed spaghetti bol,”; a third commented.

While others shared their for making the classic dish a bit different.

“Try mustard init,”; one said.

“Coffee?!!! No way! I make mine with Worcestershire sauce & bacon lardons,”; another added.

“Ruth have you tried; all what you said but with minced lamb and oxo lamb cube instead of beef?”; a third commented.

“In my opinion it’s a million times nicer than the minced beef!”;

“Add a good teaspoon of sugar to counteract the acid in the tomato paste and tinned tomatoes,”; someone else said.

“Believe me – it so enhances the flavour.”;
