Fury over Roku picture quality issue affecting TVs for days leaving shows ‘ruined’ and ‘unwatchable’

ROKU users have been complaining for days about a mysterious issue impacting the video quality on their TV.

Waves of viewers have taken to the company’s forum to report “washed out”; colours.

Initial cases cite problems with the specifically but more people have come forward claiming other popular apps including and look bad as well.

The unexplained bug rears its head when playing HDR content.

“This issue has been going on for nearly a week with no fix or timeline on when it will be fixed,”; one frustrated user wrote on forum.

“This is unacceptable service.”;

Another commented: “It’s frustrating because my young girls love watching Disney movies.”;

A third added: “I’m surprised more people aren’t complaining, because it makes a ton of shows simply unwatchable.Was looking forward to Andor, and Tuesday night ruined.”;

Meanwhile, a fourth viewer said: “After a hard day of work I just want to kick back, relax, and enjoy the convenience of having properly displayed HDR content directly on my Roku TV, but they don’t care.

“Nobody is investigating my issue.FIX THIS!”;

The company responded on May 1 to say it was investigating and asked affected users to provide some additional details.

“We’re investigating the Disney Plus HDR content that was washed out after the recent update,”; a rep said.

“We appreciate your cooperation, and we’ll keep you posted.”;

It comes just days after Roku revealed .
