Kim Hye Ja is about to receive an unwelcome visitor on “Heavenly Ever After”;!
JTBC’s “Heavenly Ever After”; is a transcendent romance drama starring Kim Hye Ja as Lee Hae Sook, a woman who reunites with her husband in heaven after death. Unlike the other residents of heaven—including her husband Go Nak Joon (Son Suk Ku), who has chosen to return to the 30-something version of himself—Lee Hae Sook makes the unusual choice to keep her 80-year-old appearance.

In the upcoming episode of the drama, Lee Hae Sook will be reunited with her mother-in-law Park Jong Gwi (Joo Min Kyung), who now looks much younger than her. Before this unwelcome arrival, a worried Go Nak Joon checks on Lee Hae Sook, who is uncharacteristically pale and drained of energy.
As it turns out, it was Lee Hae Sook’s intuition that had her feeling under the weather. When Go Nak Joon’s mother makes her first appearance, there is immediately an uncomfortable tension between the two women.
Even though Park Jong Gwi is now more youthful than her daughter-in-law in appearance, their relationship remains exactly the same as before. Park Jong Gwi carefully inspects every corner of the house as if surveilling her daughter-in-law’s housework, and when Go Nak Joon thoughtlessly gets involved, Lee Hae Sook quickly stops him.
The “Heavenly Ever After”; production team teased, “As Lee Hae Sook and Go Nak Joon continue their married life in heaven, [Lee Hae Sook’s] relationship with her mother-in-law will also continue. They will share experiences and emotions that they weren’t able to during their time on Earth.”;
