Upcoming film “Hi-5”;; has unveiled a new glimpse of Kim Hee Won’scharacter!
“Hi-5”;; is a comic action adventure about five people who unexpectedly gain different superpowers through organ transplants and must defend themselves against those who seek to exploit their abilities.
Kim Hee Won plays Yak Seon, a character with a surprising mix of charm and complexity. Yak Seon is a grumpy, no-nonsense construction foreman who constantly nags and wears down his workers. Though he’s the person everyone tries to avoid, his tough exterior hides a deep warmth and compassion that sets him apart.
After receiving a liver transplant, Yak Seon gains healing powers and quietly uses them to treat injured workers. He then winds up meeting the other members of the team “Hi-5,”;; who also received organs and supernatural abilities from the same donor, and gets caught up in an unexpected incident.
Kim Hee Won, who is returning to the screen as a character who is cold on the outside but warm on the inside, said, “I liked the fact that [the film] features superpowered characters with human charm who don’t pretend to be cool.”;;
Director Kang Hyung Cheol added, “Although Kim Hee Won has often played villains, he is actually a very kind person. I thought it would be interesting for him to play a character whose cold exterior clashes with a warm heart.”;;
