Horse racing tips: ‘He’s taken a big step forward this year’ – Templegate’s NAP can strike at Newmarket

TEMPLEGATE tackles a Sunday’s racing confident of smashing the bookies.

BARMYBLADE (5.10 Ripon, nap).

Tim Easterby’s three-year-old has taken a big step forward this season. He returned with a head-bobbing win at Catterick before losing his chance with a slow start at Ayr over the minimum trip. He left that blip firmly behind when relishing this course and distance last week. He flew out of the gates this time and tanked along before running right away from his rivals. That proved his liking for this trip and he’s got more to come on quick ground.

FLUORESCENCE (3.40 Ripon, nb).

This is just her third run and she’s yet to taste defeat. She had three lengths in hand when scoring on the Southwell sand before taking well to turf for a comeback victory at Redcar. She makes her handicap debut from a fair mark of 85 and she will soon be rating a lot higher than that.

MY MARGIE (6.15 Newmarket, treble)

Has progressed on the all-weather and can bring that form back to the grass. She travelled sweetly when winning at Southwell and likes this distance.
