Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has said the team has history like Real Madrid.
Scholes, speaking on TNT Sports, predicted that the Red Devils will beat Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final this month.
The two Premier League teams are through following the semi-final second legs on Thursday night.
United beat Athletic Bilbao 4-1 on the night and 7-1 on aggregate, while Spurs saw off Bodo/Glimt 2-0 in Norway and 5-1 on aggregate.
“History tells me United have a great chance,”; Scholes said.
“We know Tottenham have beaten them three times and Tottenham will think they right a chance.
“For some reason, the history of this club is almost like Real Madrid at times.
“When they aren’t playing that well they can still go on and win European cups. I just feel the odds are slightly in Manchester United’s favour.
“Although I do think Tottenham are a good side.”;
The final will be played at San Mames on May 21.
