The New York State Catholic Conference has slammed the US President, Donald Trump for sharing an AI photo of him dressed as Pope.
DAILY POST reports that Trump on his official Truth Social account shared the AI generated image on Saturday.
The photo, which went viral on all social media platforms, did not sit well with some Christian faithful particularly the Catholics.
Reacting to the viral photo, the Catholic Conference in a post on its official X handle said there is nothing funny about the image.
They lamented why such an image should be shared at a period Pope Francis was buried and a new Pope is being awaited.
The post reads, “There is nothing clever or funny about this image, Mr. President.
“We just buried our beloved Pope Francis and the cardinals are about to enter a solemn conclave to elect a new successor of St. Peter. Do not mock us”;.
DAILY POST reports that the conclave to select Pope Successor will commence on Wednesday this week.
