WE all want our homes to look their best.
So, it comes as no surprise that one woman living in a to suit her tastes.


Carol Rowan took to social media to show off how she, turning it from drab to fab.
In the clip, she documented her hallway and staircase .
Before Carol got her hands on it, the staircase used a cheap pine wood for the banister and featured grey carpets.
The walls were bare and painted a dull grey colour.
But she soon turned things around, painting the banister black, adding a warm beige paint to the walls and a luxe runner along the stairs.
She bought a Farrow & Ball paint in the colour Skimming Stone for the walls and a black matte Dulux paint for the banister from B&Q.
Carol painted the stairs white and kept them wooden with a carpet runner down the middle from JW carpets in a herringbone pattern.
To tie in the black accessories, she also bought a black blind for the downstairs window from Blinds 2 Go as well a s black trimmed arch mirror from .
To add a finishing touch and bring in more of the beige hues she purchased a vase and some dried pampas plants from B&M.
The finished results made her hallway look much more modern and cleaner.
The clip went viral on her TikTok account @carolrowan20 with over 122k views and 3,000 likes.
People were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts on thecouncil house makeover.
One person wrote: “this is the same thing as crushed velvet live, love, laugh beige tones stair runners quirky plants and 80s mirrors with a Mini Cooper and a mini doodle.”;
