POLICE are hunting for a man who attempted to abduct a child before fleeing towards a McDonalds.

The four-year-old was walking with a woman when they were approached by the man in Longbridge, West Midlands, at around 11.30am yesterday morning, West Midlands Police said.

He attempted to grab the child’s arm but was stopped by the woman, before he then fled towards a nearby McDonalds.

The child was uninjured in the attempted abduction and is now being supported by officers.

Cops are working with their family to help find the man, as officers also scour CCTV footage and speak to people in the area.
