Footage obtained by the Evening shows the woman being carried – by legs and arms – off the aircraft by officers.

She can also be seen struggling to break free from police as they escort her to the police car.

The drama unfolded after the pair, who were seated separately at first, decided to move closer in the middle of the flight which departed from Manchester Airport at 5.30pm on Tuesday.

But things soon took a turn for the worst, with reports claiming the duo became “disruptive”; – sparking a fight that left cabin crew no choice but to call in the authorities, according to the Manchester Evening News.

This forced the pilot to divert the flight to Bologna, where local cops boarded the plane and removed the pair.

After the unscheduled stop, the flight eventually resumed its journey.

The plane landed in Corfu several hours late, past its scheduled arrival of 10.40pm.

A spokesperson for said: “This flight from Manchester to Corfu (April 29) was forced to divert to Bologna after two passengers became disruptive onboard.

“Crew called ahead for police assistance, who met the aircraft upon landing at Bologna and removed these two disruptive passengers before this flight continued to Corfu later that same night.

“Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a safe and respectful environment, without unnecessary disruption.”;

It comes as another passenger was by flight crew after she tried to break into the cockpit.

Passengers on board the-boundflight watched in confusion as staff scuffled with the woman and restrained her.

Footage from inside the787-9 Dreamliner showed the cockpit door wide open while the plane was still at‘s Sao Paulo airport.

Flightattendants can be seen struggling to get the door closed before a woman makes an odd intervention by trying to storm the cockpit.

The smartly-dressed passenger confronts the staff, sparking a squabble.

The crew member can be heard telling the first-class passenger: “Get out, get out.”;
