BRITAIN’S Got Talent has more foreign acts in the semi-finals than British.
Half of those remaining are from overseas — including three from Japan alone.
They were voted through to the next round of the ITV talent show — compared to just two from .
A record 31 foreign acts — also hailing from countries including , and — were given a golden buzzer or a majority yes vote from the judges.
It comes after series 14 in 2020 saw 28 audition from outside the UK.
This year has just 30 from the UK eligible for the semi-finals, which kicked off last month.
In one audition episode, six out of the ten acts travelled from overseas to perform in front of and co in .
The live final at the end of the month will see the winner take home a cash prize of £250,000 and the chance to perform at the in front of the .
Last week saw the first of the with eight acts — including — competing for a place in the final.
However, just two of the them hailed from Britain.
Other countries represented also included , and .
Acts from abroad have been a part of the competition since it began in 2007.
But the number of people jetting in to have a go has dramatically increased over the years.
The first series had just two overseas acts, but by 2012’s series six they were in double figures.
Back in series one, not a single act without a UK resident made it to the finals.
