Foodies race to Asda to nab Easter treat that’s been slashed to 44p – it’s similar to a sold-out M&S snack & £2.51 less

IF you're planning to treat yourself to some sweet snacks over the weekend, Asda has just the thing.

And the supermarket has slashed the price on a popular buy, that is similar to a sold-out M&S item.

weekend is a time for indulging in for every meal without guilt or judgment.

And now shoppers can do just that with a seasonal treat from the store's bakery, which is now cheaper than ever.

A customer shared the impressive on the group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

She revealed that she snapped up a five-pack of Asda's Cracking Chocolate Egg Cookies for just 44p.

The bargain hunter described the deal as an “amazing price for the kids”.

Another Facebook user joked that it was a “cracking price” in the comments section.

The eggs are similar to a highly sought-after treat available from M&S.

Sweet-toothed fans have been scouring various locations in an effort to sink their teeth into the sold-out snack.

A pack of five Speckled Egg Cookies is listed for £2.90 but have proven difficult to find.

The cookies contain a combination of milk chocolate and white chocolate buttons.

They also feature the M&S speckled chocolate eggs, similar to Cadbury's Mini Eggs.

One lucky Instagrammer shared her review after nabbing a pack of when they first hit shelves in March.

“They are so good, they're even better than the [M&S] milk chocolate, white chocolate, or double chocolate [cookies],” Cissy Jones told her followers.

“They're just incredible, wow.”

But if you're hoping to try either treat, you'll want to act fast and not just to beat out other eager shoppers.

Tomorrow is your last day to hit up most supermarkets in England Wales before Easter Sunday.

While some smaller locations will still open, lots of major retailers will pull their shutters for 24 hours.

Asda will seefor 24 hours over the Easter weekend.
