Published on May 07, 2025 at 05:40 AM

Abia State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Umuahia, has announced that successful applicants for the 5,000 teaching jobs in the State will print their appointment letters from recruitment portal from May 19.

The ministry also said that all applicants who were disqualified because of age or have pending certificate issues would be given another opportunity to prove their claims with valid evidence.

A press release signed by Uzoamaka Amah-Mbah, the Chairman of teachers recruitment committee, on behalf of the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, on Tuesday, said that applicants who felt wrongly classified should come for recertification on May 14 and 15 at the Ministry’s office with original academic and NYSC documents.

She however warned: “Be informed that persons who are unable to prove their case or who provide falsified documents to the panel would be handed over to appropriate quarters for prosecution”;.

She further said that statement of results of those who graduated five years and above would be rejected by the panel.
