Budding singer and music producer, Ayodeji Olowo, aka Cracker Mallo, has said that his music career is driven by his love for the art and not money. He told Sunday Scoop, “I believe that my love for the art and not the money is one of the major factors that have contributed to my rise onto the big stage. I always make sure that every track I work on is of the best standard and that strategy has worked for me so far. Though money is important, I am propelled by my love for the craft and I want to leave an enduring legacy. Whenever I listen to any new recording, I make sure all the elements complement one another. The distinctive feature in all my works is that they are intense and deep with thoughts and emotions.”
Speaking on his recently released Extended Play album titled, A Friendly Introduction to Saund, Mallo said, “I am not trying to be vain but I can confidently say that the songs on the EP would be some of the best tracks of 2020. My debut album tentatively titled, Saund, will come later but I want my fans to familiarise themselves with the songs on the EP first.”
The talented entertainer also stated that the grace of God was responsible for his rise in the music industry. He added, “One of the most important factors instrumental to the growth of my career is the grace of God. In addition, I believe that creating music has to do with one’s mental state at any point in time. On some occasions, I have to force myself till I catch the ‘vibe’. If I don’t ‘feel’ it, I would take a break and go back to the music when all is calm.”
Cracker Mallo, who produced Fireboy DML’s breakout single, Jealous, has also worked with top artistes including Olamide, Tiwa Savage, D’banj and Dice Ailes.
