The 20-year-old promised Quentin a weekend with her in a luxury tenth-floor flat after identifying him as a “useful target” on .

When the barber arrived, he was taken to an where Raaymakers’ ex-boyfriend Adlan Haji, 28, Alexander Khalil, 30, and Omar Sharif, 24 were waiting.

Haji met him in the living room whole holding a machete, while Sharif and Khalil appeared from an en-suite bathroom with large knives.

Quentin was then punched, kicked and had a blade held to his throat as the thugs demanded £500,000 from his account.

When they realised he didn’t have much in his crypto accounts, they forced him to give them £2,000 out of his current account and hand over £300 cash.

Quentin, who is known for cutting footballers’ hair including winger Mika Godts and Anderlecht FC midfielder Mario Stroeykens, was finally released nine hours later.

The group bundled him into a taxi back to St Pancras to take a Eurostar home where he was discovered by .

Raaymakers has now been jailed for five years and four months, Haji for seven years and seven months, while Sharif and Khalil were caged for six years and nine months, and seven years and seven months respectively.

In a victim impact statement, Quentin said: “The incident was very traumatic. At the time I just wanted to get home back to Belgium. It was only after I got home when I realised what had happened.

“I was intimidated with large knives, and I was kicked and shoved. I only had bruises on my body, but it impacted me mentally.

“In December 2024, I was recommended by my doctor to seek psychiatric help. I have had flashbacks.

“I have struggles sleeping sometimes, remembering being in that room with knives and what they did to me.

“I am more anxious and stressed then I was before. I struggled initially to trust people, and I now have trust issues, especially after receiving the messages from people pretending to be the police after the incident.”

The heard that Quentin had shown up at the Airbnb in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, believing it was Raaymakers’ family home.

He was “effectively detained” for nine hours as the gang showed him threatening videos and attacked him.

Nicholas Dunham, KC, prosecuting, said: “Weapons were brandished during the incident.

“Mr Cepeljac was in a vulnerable situation because he was in the UK and did not know anyone.

“He was effectively detained for nine hours.

“All the valuable property he had was stolen in the incident, and his Cartier glasses and his Louis Vuitton wallet was taken.”

After making him transfer the £2,000, the gang demanded Quentin call a friend in Belgium to get more cash but the pal reported the call to Belgian police, who alerted officers in the UK.

When Quentin was of no more use to the gang, they sent him in a taxi back to St Pancras.

Police discovered the barber departure lounge, who then told them what had happened and led them to the now-empty flat.

Bleach, masks, and gloves were used to cover up blood stains but officers managed to track the thugs down using CCTV and a booking reference for the Airbnb.

They pleaded guilty to blackmail but denied kidnap and false imprisonment, which were ordered to lie on file.

Recorder Nicola Shannon said: “You were impressed by his online persona and assumed he had substantial amounts of money.

“The object of this exercise in my view was purely financial.. Mr Cepeljac was targeted by your group as a result of his perceived wealth.

“It was a classic honey trap operation. The set up was elaborate. A minicab was booked to pick up Mr Cepeljac in a different name. An Airbnb was set up with a fake identity.

“An innocent landlord had their property used as a result of your deception.. All of this was fiction.”
