Heartbreak High release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more

If you’ve ever watched Degrassi, then you know that there are very few shows that can compete with this iconic Canadian show as it gave us almost forty years of non-stop drama. The 1979 series served as inspiration for the Australian series Heartbreak High, and it’s safe to say that Degrassi rubbed off exceptionally well.

Heartbreak High first debuted back in 1994 and delivered seven seasons of high school drama, discussing various topics including dating, drugs, family, and just about everything else teenagers struggle with.

The show went on to receiving tons of positive critical reception scoring a 7.8 out of 10 on IMDb and its popularity transcended all the way to last year when Netflix announced that a reboot is coming soon.

Heartbreak High release date

According to The Guardian, we can anticipate a 2022 release for Heartbreak High, but, as of right now, there is no official release date. Hopefully, we’ll get a date by the end of this year. Fingers crossed, of course.

Heartbreak High cast

The 1994 Australian series featured an amazing cast of talented actors and actresses whose careers started because of Heartbreak High.

Captain America: Winter Soldier star Callan Mulvey was a series regular in the show and went on to have a great career. Additionally, this show also was The Matrix actress Ada Nicodemou’s breakout role.

The official cast list has yet to be announced, so we don’t know if a couple of OGs will be reprising their roles, but we’re definitely expecting some fresh faces as the new generation is coming to town. (It’ll still be nice to see Mulvey though. Pretty please, Netflix?)
