Los Blancos head to the north-west corner of Spain where they are usually involved in high scoring games and Saturday’s clash should be no different
Real Madrid begin their La Liga campaign at the Estadio Balaidos where Zinedine Zidane’s side face Celta Vigo.
Both of these clubs endured disappointment last season with Los Blancos finishing 19 points behind champions Barcelona while Celta only narrowly avoided relegation.
Madrid won both matches against Celta last season with a 4-2 success in Vigo followed by a 2-0 victory at the Bernabeu.
As such, Zidane’s side are clear favourites ($1.57) with a draw presenting good value ($4.33) and Celta deemed real outsiders ($5).
Surprisingly, Gareth Bale is the favourite to open the scoring ($3.20) despite his well publicised issues at Real over the off-season. Luka Jovic is next favourite ($3.75) and will be hoping to score on his La Liga debut.
Real Madrid are without Dani Caravajal who is suspended and Marco Asensio who suffered a serious injury in pre-season.
Celta are missing striker Santi Mina who re-joined the club this summer before pickup up an injury.
This fixture tends to be highly entertaining with Real Madrid’s last five league visits to Vigo producing 25 goals.
Celta may have only have avoided relegation on the final day of last season yet only five teams scored more goals that the side from Galicia. Captain Iago Aspas finished as La Liga’s top scoring Spaniard for the third consecutive season, while in their home matches against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, Celta impressed in the final third scoring twice in each of those games.
The hosts will fancy their chances of getting among the goals against a Madrid side that have kept just two clean sheets in their last 23 away matches in La Liga.
