ASTON VILLA have appointed former Arsenal boss Unai Emery on a long-term project.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that Villa forked out £5.2million to land Emery and they will be paying the Spaniard a salary of £6.2m a year.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly closing in on a mega £90million deal for Manchester United target Antonio Silva.
United scouts were sent to watch the Benfica wonderkid earlier on this month, but he could now be snatched up by PSG after impressing the French giants.
Elsewhere, former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed Phillippe Countinho’s form this season.
Agbonlahor believes Coutinho should apologise to Steven Gerrard over his sacking as the Liverpool legend put a lot of faith into him.
