Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said he still maintains a good relationship with his former boss, Pep Guardiola.
Arteta was Guardiola’s assistant for three and a half years before he returned to take charge of the Gunners.
During his time at The Etihad, the 40-year-old won two Premier League titles.
However, Arsenal is leading the way this season, occupying the first position ahead of Guardiola’s men.
âI learned a lot about being at the top from Pep. The standards that are set at the club are not only to win but to win in a certain way every three days, and be extremely demanding and critical and at the same time supportive, so itâs a good mixture.
âIt was incredible to be part of that team and the evolution and how that team was built. I will always be grateful,” Arteta said.
The Spaniard added: âObviously we are not going to be talking about things related to our teams but of course, we can speak about football as we did in the past and thatâs not going to change.â
