Rivers State commissioner for Sports, Barr Chris Green, says not much should be expected from the new Ibrahim Gusau led Nigerian Football Federation, NFF.
The commissioner who is also the Chairman of Football Association of Rivers state, who was speaking on Channels Television on Sunday, said the composition of the board is not one to expect much from.
He said there are some “rookies” on the board which according to him is not what is needed in the NFF now.
According to Green “It is not going to be very easy for the Ibrahim Gusau led board. I don’t know whether we are going to begin from the top or we are going to start from the foundation.
“I think the makeup of the board is not one for me that will give me full assurances to say that they will hit the ground running and in no time you begin to see how things change.
‘We have rookies there and right now we don’t need rookies on that board. Now is for experience to be brought to the Nigeria Football Federation.
“People should not be expecting much.”
