Cobra Kai season 4 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more

Thanks to Martin Kove, the Cobra Kai team, and Ted Sarandos, we have a bunch of Cobra Kai season 4 updates to share! There’s been a release date update and a production update recently, and we need to share that information with fans of the hit Netflix original series.

The series started out on YouTube Red, which is now called YouTube Premium and Netflix acquired the program in June 2020.

Cobra Kai’s engrossing narrative takes place 34 years after the original Karate Kid film, this time re-examining the story from the perspective of Johnny Lawrence played once again by William Zabka with Ralph Macchio reprising the role of Daniel LaRusso.

Cobra Kai season 4 release date

As mentioned, we have an update on the Cobra Kai season 4 release date to share. During Netflix’s Q1 earnings presentation, Ted Sarandos confirmed that season 4 would be released on Netflix later this year. In fact, he even mentioned when fans will be able to expect the new season on Netflix.

Cobra Kai season 4 will be released on Netflix in Q4 2021 (October-December).

Cobra Kai season 4 started filming in late February 2021. And, at the end of April, Cobra Kai season 4 wrapped production. That means post-production is likely underway on the new season of the hit Netflix series.

Right now, it looks like Cobra Kai season 4 will be added to Netflix in either November or December. It’s possible we could see the new season in October, but with production wrapping now, it’s more likely that we would see the new season of the series in November.

We’ll share the official release date for season 4 when we find out, but this is good news!

Cobra Kai season 4 cast

The Cobra Kai season 4 cast has been announced. We know Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Mary Mouser, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, and Martin Kove will all be back for season 4.

Peyton List and Vanessa Rubio have been upped to series regulars for season 4, according to TV Line.

The report also mentions Dallas Dupree Young and Oona O’Brien have been added to season 4 in recurring roles.

We did get to see Elisabeth Shue and a few other characters from the original movies. Will they pop up in season 4? We can only hope!

Cobra Kai season 4 plot synopsis

Netflix has not released the Cobra Kai season 4 synopsis yet. We don’t expect to see that until much closer to the release date of the new season. It’s really anyone’s guess at this point as to what will happen in Cobra Kai season 4 as many subscribers are still eager to find out what happens in Cobra Kai season 3.

In the third season, Cobra Kai’s main characters are still dealing with the fallout from the violent brawl between the rival school dojos that resulted in Miguel Diaz being severely injured. Daniel will be seeking out answers from the past while Johnny searches for redemption.

At the end of the third season, Kreese has taken over Cobra Kai, and Robby has joined the ranks. Daniel and Johnny understand the gravity of the situation, and they decide to combine Miyagi-Do with Eagle Fang Karate to fight back against Cobra Kai.

We haven’t seen the season 4 trailer yet, but the good news is that we could see it soon!

With production wrapping, I think we could see a sneak peek or clip as early as this summer.
