CHRIS EUBANK SR fears his son Chris Jr is “shot” following a lacklustre performance in his rematch with Conor Benn.

The British legend delivered the worrying assessment while reflecting on the emotional aftermath of the in November 2025.

suffered two difficult fights with – the first saw both fighters brutally beat each other up with Eubank winning, while the rematch saw Benn outclass Eubank and drop him twice.

Eubank Jr has spent the majority of his career fighting at middleweight, a division Sr has heavily criticised during his last two fights with Benn.

And despite Junior now moving up to super-middleweight and targeting another fight at 168lbs later this year, his father fears the damage has already been done.

Speaking to Playbook Boxing about Jr’s second bout with Benn, Eubank Sr said: “The fight was wrong. The fight was all wrong. Junior’s shot.”

The former two-weight world champion then added: “He’s shot. He’s spent.

“The boxing authorities, the boxing experts, everyone can see it, but no one’s paying attention to it.

“And I’m not going to be a party to that.”

also opened up on the trauma of seeing his son hurt in the ring.

He said: “It is traumatising. When you have a son, you love him.

“I may not like some of his ways, but I love him.”

The 59-year-old revealed he stayed by Junior’s bedside in hospital after the first fight with Benn.

And he admitted he still struggles to relive the contest.

Eubank Sr said: “The trauma that I’m experiencing before this [second fight], I try not to watch it because I don’t want to go back into that state of mind.

“It’s traumatising.”

The comments come after years of tension between father and son.

Their relationship became strained after Eubank Jr moved away from his father’s training and advice during his rise through the ranks.

Eubank Sr had also been fiercely against the Benn fight from the moment it was announced.

But despite their fractured relationship, Eubank Sr made a stunning return for the first Benn fight.

In one of boxing’s most emotional moments, he accompanied Junior on the famous ring walk after years of public distance between the pair.

Now though, Eubank Sr admits he fears for his son’s future in the sport.

When asked if he was concerned about Junior continuing to fight, he replied: “Of course.”
