Fans were left confused as Eubank Jr was unable to replicate any of the brilliance he displayed during their first encounter in April at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In his analysis of the fight, Bellew made an insightful observation.

The former cruiserweight champion stated: “This version of Conor Benn would defeat him every time.”

“He struggles against someone who is faster than him, and that's his main issue. He wasn't listening to BoMac.”

“BoMac was shouting the correct instructions, but he chose not to listen. He’s the most expensive fighter in the world, yet he’s only utilizing him for basic needs.”

“He ignored the advice to utilize the jab and create distance, and he has now faced the consequences.”

“I must commend him; he's a courageous fighter. Both of them are true warriors.”

McIntyre, 55, has competed professionally in the heavyweight division but has achieved greater success as a trainer.

The American is well-known for his work in the boxing community, helping his protégé win world titles across five different weight classes.

BoMac was brought in by Eubank Jr for his rematch victory over Benn in 2023 and returned to the corner ahead of last night’s bout.

Following his defeat, a frustrated Eubank Jr remarked: “I’ve endured a lot to get to this point.”

“I genuinely believed that despite the challenges I’ve been facing, I would be able to go in there and secure the win.”

“I aimed to use my boxing skills and replicate what you all witnessed in the first fight to overcome Conor Benn. From the very first round, I realized I was mistaken, but that’s alright. I’m a fighter; this is what I do.”

“I gave it my all. Conor Benn delivered an outstanding performance. He executed everything that was required of him, and I commend him for that.”

When asked about the possibility of a trilogy fight, Eubank Jr stated: “At this moment, I’m not in the right mindset to contemplate future fights. I need to recover.”

“I must address my current situation before I can think about my future in the sport.”
