Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has given two reasons Argentina defeated France to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Sunday in Qatar.
A hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi’s brace, and Angel di Maria’s strike ensured both France and Argentina played 3-3 after 120 minutes.
Argentina then defeated France 4-2 on penalties to win this year’s World Cup.
But Ancelotti believes Argentina won against France because the South Americans have good players and were supported by new players like Julian Alvarez and Enzo Fernandez.
“They won for two reasons: because they have good players and the best, and because this quality was supported by new players like Álvarez and Enzo Fernández, with a team with a good defensive attitude,” Ancelotti told Radio Anch’io Sport.
