Regency Romance novel fans love the genre and are glad to finally see a true Regency Era book portrayed in a series. This era of is touted as one of refinement, extravagant fashions and great artistic achievements.

Bridgerton season 3 and 4 storylines

The Bridgerton novels each focus on one of the Bridgerton siblings. The eight siblings are named alphabetically, including Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. The novels start with Daphne’s story, which was told in season 1. Season 2 will follow Anthony’s story and his quest to find a suitable wife. He is rich, handsome and titled, making him a “catch” for any girl.

If the seasons follow the novels, Bridgerton season 3 will focus on Benedict and season 4, Colin. Benedict’s story, in the novel, is a bit of a Cinderella story. A young girl, Sophie, has been forced into service in her own home by her stepmother. She catches the eye of the second-born Bridgerton, son, and well, you’ll have to wait and see the rest of the story.

Colin’s story is a beautiful tale of two long-time friends who come to a point in their friendship where important decisions need to be made.

The novels are well written and if you are a Regency fan, be sure to read this series. The Bridgerton family is unconventional for the period which makes for such good reading.

The TV series has been praised for breaking barriers by diversifying its cast. Most period pieces lack the diversity that Bridgerton has had the courage to take on. This series is a modern take on the era, and viewership has reflected that this is a positive move on the creator’s part.
