THIS is the moment a driver reportedly flees the scene after allegedly ploughing into a crowd – as a man is arrested for attempted murder.

Derbyshire said the victims were struck at around 9.30pm in the popular Friar Gate area of the city centre.
The force confirmed a man in his 30s, originally from , was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and dangerous .
He is also accused of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent – and remains in custody.
Counter-terror officers have since joined the , but the incident is not currently being treated as .
Shocking footage from a local Kebab shop Derby Grill shows a silver car driving down the road at a normal speed.
However, seconds later, a black car can be seen zooming down the high street at around 9.30pm – the same time the horror unfolded.
Groups of people are then shown rushing down the street, as they seemingly head in the direction of the incident.
Footage circulating on – which we are not publishing – then shows several people lying on the pavement and in the road.
Owner Muharem Celeby said he saw six people lying on the ground outside the shop, including one with blood “pouring from her head”.
Eyewitnesses reportedly spoke of the “absolute carnage”, with many heard screaming and yelling in the popular nightlife district.
Other local businessowners told how they had seen a car mounting the pavement and ramming into a crowd outside a venue called Bar Eleven.
Revellers were reportedly queuing outside the cocktail bar – for over-21s – when a vehicle “swerved into them” from behind.
The manager of Spice Lounge, located opposite the bar, told The Telegraph : “I was heartbroken and shocked.
“I think one of them had a lot of blood… but the way the car was going, it was swerving to hit someone else.”

Police quickly descended on the busy high street, which was packed with pubgoers and diners.
Further footage circulating on social media shows police cars and ambulances lining the road – as sirens drown out music.
One officer could reportedly be heard saying “I think we’ve got eight casualties”, as blue lights flash along the street.
Paramedics treated a number of people before rushing them to nearby Royal Derby Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
The suspect quickly drove away from the city centre in the visibly damaged Suzuki, before being stopped by cops almost two miles away.
Derbyshire Police have since launched an appeal for further footage as the investigation remains ongoing.
The force said: “The man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident in Derby city centre on Saturday evening remains in police custody.
“Detectives are continuing their enquires following an extension to the time that the man arrested can be held for.
“We remain keen to speak anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage that can assist our investigation.
“Anyone who is able to help is asked to contact the force quoting incident 1131 of March 28.”
Posting on , Labour MP for Derby North, Catherine Atkinson, spoke of her shock following the horror.
She said: “I am deeply shocked by reports that people have been injured in a serious incident in Derby city centre this evening.
“My thoughts are with those injured and I’m grateful to our emergency services.
“Please follow police advice and avoid the area. Anyone who has information should contact them as soon as possible.”
