Blood and Water made it’s worldwide debut on the streaming platform on May 20 and has been the talk of the town since.
The series tells the tale of Puleng Khumalo, who is investigating the case of her sister who was abducted at birth.
The six groundbreaking episodes had viewers on the edge of their seats as they watched how Puleng navigated around her investigation.
It has been revealed that Blood & Water now holds the number one spot in the Top 10 in the USA on Netflix. The first South African original to reach this milestone.
Blood & Water is also number one in France, Bahamas, Nigeria, Libya, Trinidad, Jamaica, Guadeloupe, Kenya and of course South Africa.
The series was shot in Cape Town and it boasts a star-studded talent which included the likes of Gail Mabalane, Natasha Thahane, Thabang Molaba, and Ama Qamata.
