Sometimes the gloriously trashy drama inspired by an event is far more captivating than the event itself. And while the following account of the wig-pulling (figuratively, anyway) screech-fest at a NYC movie theater may or may not have actually taken place anywhere other than in the reviewer’s imagination, it’s comedy gold and they need to become a Hollywood screenwriter ASAP, to rescue future moviegoers from the usual load of re-barfed, rebooted drivel.
And no, that’s not some side-snark on Cruella, because I haven’t seen it; just a general observation of the state of things. According to Just Jared, some shady fuckery went down at a screening, and it wasn’t a pair of Emma Thompson’s underwear:

The movie Cruella is now playing in theaters and a fan who went to a New York City screening of the film revealed the crazy experience that happened at the theater.
A review on the website Letterboxd has gone viral online after the insane moment was written out in detail. As of the time of this posting, the tweet with the review has over 112,000 likes!
The story involved a shouting match, a taser, and the police.

It’s got everything, right? Blistering hatred, a motive, a weapon, screaming kid in a theater, a mom from hell, the cops, and another woman who just wasn’t having it. I’m tempted to say “You can’t make this shit up,” but of course you can, and that may be the case here. We just don’t know, but Siegel, whoever you are, thanks for bringing our jaded assess the beauty of this trash fest.
