Bitcoin briefly dipped below the psychological threshold of $10,000 on Thursday, August 15, according to data from crypto information service CoinMarketCap.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency went down by 15% over the last two days, seeing its worst day in August so far. At one point on Tuesday Bitcoin hit a low of $9,680. However, the dip didn’t last long as the cryptocurrency soon retraced above $10,000.

Last time Bitcoin went below $10,000 was in late July, when it traded at as low as $9,266.

Meanwhile, other major cryptocurrencies, such as Ethereum and XRP, are also in the red. At press time, ETH has lost over 10%, trading at $184 per coin, while XRP lost up to 10%, trading $0.26.
