They want the two-time European Champions as one of their long-term tenants.
Birmingham’s owners, Knighthead Capital, unveiled the arena – which has taken 18 months to plan – as a multi-use venue.
They want it to be – and that means zeroing in on conferences, big fight nights and international sports.
And one of those potential customers they are keen to speak with is the Association.
At present, are not tied to the use of Stadium as they are with the senior men’s team.
They do use the home of football between 2-3 times per season – the European Champions are facing Asian champions China next Saturday at the home of football.
Otherwise, the Lionesses are taken around the country, playing at a variety of stadia.
One of Birmingham City’s senior figures said: “The Lionesses do not have a permanent, or even semi-permanent, home to call their own.
“We believe we are ideally situated to host them.
“It’s less than an hour’s drive from St George’s Park and, once is operational, we estimate that around 80 per cent of the country will be able to access Birmingham within two hours.
“The Powerhouse presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase the Lionesses in a home they can call theirs which will be accessible to a huge number of people.”
Birmingham do have plans in place for the build.
The documents outlining the development are over 500 pages long.
However, the carrot being dangled in front of the FA is the ability to incorporate the needs and wants of the women’s team into the club’s final proposal before it is tabled in front of council.
The 62,000-capacity stadium is comfortably the biggest within an 80-mile radius of the Second City and will be able to offer top-of-the-range corporate packages as part of the deal.
