BIN collection changes are being rolled out for 300,000 UK households this week as temperatures are set to hit 38C.
Local councils have introduced the changes to keep collection workers safe in the heat.

The UK is set to see another wave of hot this week, with the Met Office predicting .
With weather warnings and health issued for Brits as the temperature rises, protections are also being put in place to shield bin collection crews from the blazing sun.
Councils across the West have introduced earlier bin collection times for this week.
Collection crews at Borough Council and Council will begin an hour earlier than normal, starting at 6am.
Waste will begin even earlier, beginning rounds at 5am.
Residents are advised to put their bins out earlier than normal, or even the night before, to ensure they don’t miss being collected.
Cheltenham Borough Council will be starting the earlier collection time from Monday, 22 June, and will continue working at this time for the rest of the week.
Councillor Steve Harvey said: “This is to help our crews and vehicles cope in the heat and ensure that they’re able to complete the scheduled collections.
“Residents are asked to put their recycling boxes, food caddies, refuse and garden bins out for collection at kerbside by 6am.
“Our crews will do their very best to be as quiet as possible whilst out collecting earlier in the morning.”
The council has said that the normal collection time of 7am will likely resume next week, however if the hot weather continues to persist next week, this is subject to change.
Somerset Council has advised residents to put their bins outside the night before, to ensure their waste is collected during the earlier start.
Councillor Federica Smith-Roberts has said the decision is to “help protect our waste and recycling crews while keeping collections running smoothly”.
She thanked residents for “helping our crews stay safe” during the sweltering temperatures.
Bristol Waste is rolling out a new start time of 5am this week so that “a safe work environment” can be maintained for collection crews.
Temperatures this week are expected to hit 38C on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a slight dip down to 37C by Thursday.
Overnight temperatures are also set to be high, with widespread tropical nights where temperatures will remain above 20C across parts of England.
The Met Office has issued an amber warning for many parts of southern and eastern England and parts of South from 1am today.
It will remain in place until 23.59 pm on Thursday, June 25.
