The Nigerian Army has refuted claims circulating on social media that the photographs released from its recent rescue operation in Kogi State are outdated.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the 12 Brigade of the Nigerian Army asserted that the images included in its previous press release, titled “Troops of 12 Brigade Rescue Two Kidnapped Victims and Recover Ransom in Kogi State,” are authentic and were captured during the operation on November 2, 2025.
“The images in question are genuine and were taken during the operation conducted on November 2, 2025, by troops stationed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Oguma,” the statement, signed by Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi,
