Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has picked Argentina as the favourite country to win this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar ahead of France.
Argentina and France will clash in the World Cup final on Sunday.
Both teams had defeated Croatia and Morocco in the semi-final fixtures this week.
“It is a great final and one to really look forward to,” Keane told ITV Football.
“But Argentina, with all the support behind them, the energy of the team and of course Lionel Messi, you would’ve to say they are slight favourites.
“We saw glimpses of peak [Lionel] Messi [in the World Cup semi-final victory against Croatia]. He has done it for years and years.
“The guy is fantastic and I love watching him. You know what, I hope they [Argentina] win it, even if it is just for him.”
