A human rights organization, the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule, known as Intersociety, has reported that 102 Christians were killed in Nigeria over a span of 14 days.

This information was shared in a report made available to journalists on Monday in Enugu.

Intersociety indicated that from October 28 to November 11, there were also 114 abductions attributed to what they referred to as Jihadist militants.

The report was co-signed by Emeka Umeagbalasi, Head of Intersociety, Obianuju Joy Igboeli, Human Rights Lawyer and Head of the Department of Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, Ogochukwu Obi, Deputy Head of the Department of International Justice and Human Rights, and Comrade Samuel Kamanyaoku, Head of the Field Data Collection and Documentation Department.

According to the report, an average of seven Christians were killed each day, with eight individuals abducted over the two-week period.

Specific details were provided: “34 killed in Taraba, 22 in Plateau, 16 in Kaduna, 15 in Benue, 4 in Borno, and 1 in Edo, along with an additional ten unreported cases,” it noted. Furthermore, “50 abducted in Kaduna, 30 in Taraba, 6 in Plateau, 6 in Benue, and 12 in the Kogi/Kwara region, plus another ten unreported cases.”

Intersociety stated that the purpose of the report was to statistically demonstrate “that there is no end in sight to the coordinated attacks against Nigeria’s defenseless Christians.”

It also alleged that at least eight Christian clerics have been killed, and numerous ancestral homes and lands belonging to the vulnerable Christian population, particularly in Kaduna, Benue, Plateau, Taraba, and Borno, have been forcibly taken.

“The plight of Nigerian Christians and their sacred places of worship has remained alarmingly unchecked, especially since November 1, 2025, when the US Government suggested possible military intervention if the Nigerian Government continues to neglect taking decisive action to stop the horrific killings of Christians and the destruction of their sacred sites.”

“Based on Intersociety’s statistical data, numerous Islamic terror groups are either digitally or physically moving toward Nigeria, where they currently occupy various rainforest regions—Christian-dominated areas numbering about 24, including the JNIM Islamic terror group among them.”

The JNIM is a dangerous Islamic terror group operating in Mali and the Sahel region, which recently declared the establishment of ‘its first brigade in Nigeria.’

“Additionally, there are many new Islamic terror groups either heading to or already in Nigeria, further increasing the number of such organizations threatening the country, particularly the vulnerable Christian population and their sacred places of worship, livelihoods, and homes.”

The organization expressed hope that the current Nigerian Government and its Presidency would take immediate action by reforming the ministries of defense and interior, as well as the office of the NSA, “and subsequently issue firm and decisive orders to security, defense, and intelligence forces, including their Service Chiefs, particularly the Armed Forces and their High Commands, to target the Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen and their affiliates and eliminate them.”

“According to our latest statistics, there has been little to no action taken to effectively and tangibly address the situation to date.”
