ALLYSON FELIX has made the shock decision to come out of retirement in a last-gasp bid to feature at the 2028 Olympic Games.
The most decorated female track and field of all-time, 40, initially made the call to stop competing four years ago.

But Felix is desperate to be involved when the heads to her home city of Los Angeles.
And she has announced plans to qualify for her sixth Games, where she would be gunning for gold at the age of 42.
Felix told Time : “So many of us have been told not to do the big, bold thing.
“You know, at this age, I should probably be staying home and taking care of my kids, doing all that.
“And just, why not? Let’s flip it on its head. Let’s go after the thing. Let’s be vulnerable.”
Felix has bagged a whopping 11 medals during her sensational Olympic career.
And she battled back to full fitness to notch gold and bronze at Tokyo 2020 having two years earlier.
The lightning-fast runner admitted she will be lacing up her running spikes again because one of her few regrets was never featuring at a home Games.

She added: “When I was competing, you just heard this roar for host-country athletes at the . I would love to experience that.
“I would probably be upset at myself if I just didn’t give it a try. However it turns out, I’ll still be there with my kids, hanging out and cheering everybody on.”
Felix is already a member of the Organising Committee Athletes’ Commission.
But the American is ready to take to the track after sharing videos on social media of her taking on gruelling workouts.
The mother of two has drawn inspiration from the likes of Tom Brady, LeBron James and , who continued competing at the highest level into their 40s.
And Felix is expecting to return to full-time training with her coach Bobby Kersee in October.
The 20-time World Championships medallist conceded: “I totally get the person who sticks around too long and you’re like, ‘What are they doing?’
“I know, at 40, I am not at my peak. I have no illusions about that. I’m very clear in what it is and what I want to see. And so I hope it’s seen that way.”
