BRITS have been warned to prepare for hour-long queues before flying home under new EES rules across Europe.
The new rules have replaced manual passport stamping for non-EU travellers entering the EU.

Wizz Air boss Yvonne Moynihan has advised holidaymakers to arrive three hours before their flights or risk missing it.
She said long delays have caused some passengers to miss return or connecting flights
Talking to the BBC, Moynihan called the new system “fragmented”.
She said: “Because there is another passport check…that’s where we see that people have, again, experienced longer waiting times than anticipated.

Under the new EES system, flyers must now register their fingerprints in EU countries.
EES is a new automated system that has been introduced across airports, ferry terminals and stations across the Schengen area.
The system tracks short stays in of up to a maximum of 90 days in any 180-day period.
It has been introduced to replace passport stamps.

Almost 80 million entries and exits into the EU were registered since October.
The new system was supposed to be fully enforced by April 10.
However, Greece decided to suspend biometric check at its borders for British citizens to try and reduce summer disruption.
